A Cambro Camwear food pan for food prep and storage

Cambro's insert pans are a great resource to have on hand for many types of commercial kitchens, from pizzerias to sandwich shops to cafeterias. They are often used to store ingredients in the fridge when they’ve been prepped, or for setting in prep tables for serving. We carry three depths—2.5”, 4”, and 6”—as well as sizes from 1/9 to full. Half sizes are usually paired with full-size and 1/6 size so they can be set in prep tables in different size combinations.

When choosing which food pans to purchase, most businesses get a combination of sizes. Full-sized ones are for more popular or more often used ingredients, and smaller ones are for less-used ingredients, simply to avoid an ingredient sitting in the pan for a long time. Multiples of each size are helpful for use in prep tables so they can be switched out quickly when empty. We also carry covers for these containers, both notched—for a spoon—and solid. Kitchens generally carry around a 2:1 ratio of pans to covers, but it is entirely up to personal preference.

We also carry steam table pans: the stainless steel version of these food pans. If you're looking for those, check out our hotel pan collection.
